Mechanics can use this mobile application to provide on-site repair service at any time, day or night.
With the Mobile Mechanic app, mechanics can track each step in the on-site repair process, get the information they need to perform the on-site repairs, provide status information to the call center, and capture necessary repair information—from anywhere—with a smartphone or tablet.
Features in the mobile app

- Complaint codes and descriptions
- Asset InformationVehicle location
- Edit/update cases from the app, including:
- Automatically populate the time and date you move from status to status
- Get directions to the vehicle using:
- Google Maps
- Apple Maps
- Submit an ETR (Estimated time of repair)
- Enter a description of the repair, including:
- If it’s a permanent fix or a temporary fix
- Notes related to the repair
- Enter current mileage
- View case updates as they change.

Set up your location preferences
The mobile app will provide directions and an ETA (estimated time of arrival).
The ETA is calculated by Google Maps or Apple Maps, and it will be updated as it changes depending on traffic and other conditions.
To use the mobile mechanic location based features, you must first allow the app to use your location. To get started, follow the directions below for your device.
When you open the app, you’ll see the Log In page. Use the same username and password combination as you use for the web, and tap LOG IN.
View open cases
Once you’re in, you’ll see the Home page with a list of up to 5 of open cases assigned to the logged in user. This list is titled ‘My Cases.’ Tap a case to open it and get more details and an overview of the case.
View case details
Once you select a case to view, the Overview tab for the case displays where you can view all of the case details.
Scroll for more tabs
When on a detail page, scroll through the headings at the top from left to right, then tap a heading to view that information.
Track your cases
When you’re at your Customer Center and ready to start tracking your case, tap the Track tab at the top when viewing a case and follow the steps through the case tracking process from start to finish.

View Asset Information
To view the asset details for case, such as VIN and registration information, tap the Asset tab at the top when viewing a case.
View Case Attachments
To view any attachments added to the case, tap the Attachments tab at the top when viewing a case. You can then tap an attachment in the list to open it for viewing.
Use the maps
This application has full integration with Google Maps and Apple Maps to handle geolocation, provide routes, and estimate ETAs.
When on a map, treat it as a Google Map™. Use two fingers to zoom in or out. Drag with one to move.
Use the navigation bar
The navigation bar at the bottom includes a HOME icon:
Tapping this icon takes you back to the Home page to access your five most recent cases.
To log out, tap your avatar on the Home page, then tap LOG OUT.
